Setting & the Society

The Society
The Society is the government body of this nation. They control all the provinces. There is the Oria Province, the Acadia Province, the Grandia Province, the Sonoma Province, the Tana Province, and more. The Society has cured almost all illnesses and diseases, and has made the 'perfect' society. They tell people who to love, what job to have, and when they die. There is a lot of mystery around the Society.

The Traveler's Province
The Traveler's Province is a province around the Outer Provinces. It is surrounded by a thick, metal, electrified fence. It holds the Travelers. The other provinces don't know about the Traveler's Province. The other people (NPCs) are known as the Natives.

Your house
Your house sits on a calm, beautiful street, like all the rest. There is a sign at the end of the street that tells its name. Inside your house is a spacious, three bedroom house. You walk into a normal living room, the dining room, the kitchen. In the kitchen, there is a food delivery slot that beeps when your food is placed in the slot by a deliveryman. Breakfast at 8 am, Lunch at 12 pm, Dinner at 7 pm. Your foilware containers hold normal meals (oatmeal, noodles with sauce, meatloaf, meat-and-veggie casserole) hot and ready to eat. They are exactly the right portion with the right nutrients that you require. No more, no less. Dessert is only for special occasions. Upstairs are bathrooms and bedrooms, moderate in size. Outside, you have a decent-sized yard. You may only grow flowers, trees, and bushes that do not grow foodstuffs. The seeds offered are for genetically enhanced plants that are robust and easy to grow and maintain. All streets are U-shaped with three houses on each side and one on the end. 7 houses on each street.

The market
The market offers basic items (soap, shampoo, feminine products, toys, pill cases). They also offer clothes, all black and standard, nothing fancy, and shoes (also black. No heels, no boots, no dress shoes, just sneakers.) No food, alcohol, drugs, cigarettes, hair dye, or anything frivolous are offered here. You do not have to pay for anything.

Medical Center
This is the place to go if you're sick, injured, dying, or dead. They can cure most anything, heal most anything, and bring you back to life. But only within 24 hours of you dying. This is also the place to go if you lose any of your pills. Also, if you have any sort of condition where you need medicine such as anti-depressants, insulin, etc. You do not have to pay for anything.

Gym
There are exercise machines here. Trackers track your progress whether you run, do the elliptical, bike, or do weights. The machine says 'Warning, warning' when you push yourself harder than you should. After all, the Society wants you healthy.

City Hall
During special occasions, such as the Matching ceremony, it is lit up with white and blue lights, sparkling. It is a huge building with a dome, tall clear windows, and marble steps. City Officials and Officers work here.

The rotunda (in city hall)
The rotunda is a huge room where the Matching ceremony takes place. Up above is a huge dome, and the room is very festive and beautiful with lights and colorful decorations. There is a large screen so that you can see your match clearly.

The museum
The museum is old and has frosted glass windows to preserve the relics. You will find out all about the history of the Provinces, but much of it is propaganda, making the Society look good. There is something about the basement, though... stand in front of a certain exhibit too long, and a stranger may approach you. Interested? PM a mod.

The fence
The fence is electrified, and surrounds the entire province. There is no way to climb it or go under it without being electrocuted. Plus, there are Officers that patrol the borders. Although, it is rumored there is a trading spot for such goods as alcohol, cigarettes, hair dye, candy, etc. You'll have to be careful and discreet. Maybe someone you know knows the spot.

Music Hall
The music Hall is a small hall with seats. Speakers play the Hundred Songs. If you listen close, you might be able to tell that the voices, the instruments are made by a computer, not humans. They're too impossibly perfect. Now and then, they also play the Anthem of the Society.

Game Center
The game center is where are the recreational games are, kind of like an arcade, with screens and games to play, but also game tables involving cards and dice.

Theater
A small theater with two theaters inside, one plays one showing, the other plays another. There is no popcorn, candy, or drink. The showings are much shorter, and are mostly propaganda made by the Society.

Dining Hall
A small dining hall. A small greenspace surrounds the redbrick box of a building. Inside, it's nice. There are round, black metal tables, no tablecloths, with flickering lights in the middle of the table to simulate candlelight. Only regulation food is served here.

The Prison
The prison is currently empty. It's moderately-sized, with enough cells for maybe a third of the population.

The Transport Center
Where your character wakes up. Each room leads out to a platform where the air train stops.
